Hilton New York Times Square Appoints New General Manager

Dan Briks

Dan Briks has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton New York Times Square.

In his new role, Briks will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including sales and marketing, guest services, and overall performance of the property.

Briks brings over two decades of leadership experience across prominent New York City hotels. He joins Hilton New York Times Square from Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, where he served as General Manager since 2021. During his tenure, he led the hotel’s reopening following a two-year closure, managed the launch of new food and beverage outlets, and oversaw a recent lobby renovation.

Previously, Briks held the position of General Manager at Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. His earlier leadership roles include serving as Hotel Manager at The Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection, and at Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.

He began his hospitality career at the Waldorf Astoria New York through the management development program, spending 11 years in various leadership roles across food and beverage and front office operations, and later serving as Executive Assistant Manager overseeing rooms, restaurants, and banquet operations.

Briks holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Hotel Association of New York City and is a member of the General Manager Committee for the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
