Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) has announced Goa as the Partner Destination for the 26th edition of the PATWA World Tourism Leaders Summit and the PATWA International Travel Awards 2026. The event will be held on March 4, 2026, on the sidelines of ITB Berlin.
Goa is one of India’s most internationally recognized tourism destinations, known for its beaches, heritage, culture, cuisine, festivals, and growing luxury and wellness offerings. In recent years, the destination has diversified its tourism portfolio to include regenerative tourism, hinterland experiences, spiritual circuits, eco-tourism, adventure tourism, and MICE infrastructure, supporting its positioning as a year-round destination.

Commenting on the partnership, Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, IT, E&C, Printing & Stationery, Government of Goa, said: “Goa’s new global partnership reflects our proactive outreach and growing international relevance, strengthening meaningful collaborations that align with our vision for high-quality, responsible tourism.”
As Partner Destination, Goa will present its evolving tourism offerings to a global audience at the Summit, including tourism ministers, policymakers, industry leaders, hospitality groups, aviation stakeholders, and international media.
Sharing his views on the collaboration, Yatan Ahluwalia, Secretary General of PATWA, said: “Goa represents a dynamic and forward-looking tourism destination that successfully blends heritage with modernity, sustainability with scale, and culture with global appeal. Its continued commitment to responsible tourism and infrastructure development makes it an ideal Partner Destination for this global gathering.”
Goa’s association with PATWA at ITB Berlin further supports its international outreach and reflects its focus on expanding global partnerships and attracting international travellers.
The 26th edition of the PATWA World Tourism Leaders Summit and the PATWA International Travel Awards will bring together decision-makers and leaders from across the global tourism ecosystem to recognise leadership, innovation, and achievements in travel and tourism.
