Karan Kakar
Karan Kakar has been appointed General Manager at Andaz Miami Beach.
In his new role, Kakar will oversee hotel operations and focus on shaping guest experiences that reflect the city’s cultural and artistic character.
Kakar brings more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to this appointment, he served as a General Manager within Hyatt’s lifestyle portfolio under Hyatt’s The Lifestyle Group. As part of this role, he led Thompson Dallas, where he guided the property through a leadership transition while working on initiatives related to guest experience, market positioning, and financial performance.
Earlier in his career, Kakar was General Manager at Nautilus by Arlo and also supported the pre-launch phase of Arlo Wynwood. His previous leadership experience includes roles at Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, an Autograph Collection property by Marriott, and Mondrian South Beach.
At Andaz Miami Beach, Kakar is expected to lead the property with an emphasis on operational consistency while strengthening its connection to Miami Beach’s local culture, creative community, and coastal setting.
