Etihad Offers Free Hotel Stays in Abu Dhabi for Stopover Passengers

Etihad Airways has launched a new program called the ‘Abu Dhabi Stopover’ for passengers with layovers in Abu Dhabi. This program offers a complimentary hotel stay, allowing travellers to explore the city and experience its rich culture at no extra cost.

The ‘Abu Dhabi Stopover’ program is designed to make travel more convenient for passengers. When flying via Zayed International Airport, passengers can seamlessly add a complimentary hotel stay to their booking to enhance their travel experience without hassle. They can stay for one or two nights at selected locations across the city.

Abu Dhabi  is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The city of Abu Dhabi is the UAE’s second-most populous city after Dubai.

This program is not only about convenience and free stays. It’s a game-changer for Abu Dhabi’s tourism industry and is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors to the city in the next year. This initiative will showcase the emirate’s rich culture and diverse experiences.

Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, the Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, emphasized the importance of partnerships in promoting Abu Dhabi tourism to global travellers. He mentioned that the Stopover program, in collaboration with Etihad Airways, offers a unique opportunity to introduce the emirate to curious visitors. This innovative initiative showcases the diverse experiences available in Abu Dhabi, from entertainment and culture to leisure and beyond. The program aims to inspire travellers to return and fully immerse themselves in the Abu Dhabi experience.

Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves added: “We plan to bring more than 100,000 visitors to Abu Dhabi through the Stopover programme over the next year, and we’re confident that once they have a taste of what the capital has to offer, they will return for more. We are thrilled to be working hand in hand with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi to showcase what the emirate has to offer to the world.”
