Etihad Airways Updates U.S. Network with Chicago and Charlotte Services

U.S. network changes support connectivity via Abu Dhabi

Etihad Airways has confirmed adjustments to its United States schedule, increasing flight frequencies on routes to Chicago and Charlotte.

From 15 June 2026, services to O’Hare International Airport will run twice daily. Etihad Airways flights to Charlotte will increase from four weekly services to a daily schedule. The Charlotte route was introduced on 20 March 2026, with the revised frequency in place until 8 September.

The updated schedule increases seat availability and supports connections between North America and destinations across India and the Asia-Pacific region. It also enables onward travel within the United States through partner airline networks.

Both routes will be operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, configured with 32 Business and 271 Economy seats.

Chicago to operate twice daily

The move to double-daily flights to Chicago provides more timing options for travellers and supports one-stop journeys via Abu Dhabi.

Destinations available through these connections include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, as well as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said the change reflects ongoing demand and supports consistent connectivity across the network.

Charlotte moves to daily flights

Following its launch earlier this year, the Charlotte route will operate daily from 15 June until 8 September. The adjustment reflects demand for both direct and connecting travel.

The Etihad Airways daily service provides access between Charlotte and destinations across Etihad’s network, while also supporting inbound travel to the United States.

Arik De said the route has seen steady demand since its introduction, with the revised frequency supporting passenger and cargo movement between the Southeast United States and international markets.
