Boosted Services: Emirates Adds Extra Flight to Madagascar and Seychelles

To satisfy vacationers’ demand during the peak travel season, Emirates has announced a fifth weekly flight on its Dubai—Antananarivo route, which will begin on December 13, 2024, and run for four weeks. In addition to supporting seasonal travel demand, the additional weekly trip on Fridays will increase capacity from the fourth-largest island country in the globe to almost 1,800 seats in each way each week.

Emirates’ capacity expansion on its Dubai/Seychelles/Antananarivo route will assist the airline to fulfil market demand and give passengers more flexibility, choice, and connectivity when making travel plans, especially after the successful launch of flights to Madagascar in September.

The additional weekly frequency on the two linked services will operate as EK707 and EK708 in a 3-class configuration. Tickets can be booked on emirates.com, Emirates World retail stores, the Emirates App, and through travel agencies.

Effective 13 December 2024 until 10 January 2025, flights EK707 and EK708 are scheduled to operate with timings as follows (all times are local):

The temporary boost to capacity during the four-week period will complement Emirates’ services on EK707 and EK708. Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be used, and 360 seats will be offered on each flight in First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class.

Customers travelling between Seychelles and Madagascar and other well-known locations in the Emirates network, such as the UAE, Sri Lanka, France, and a few different places in Europe, the UK, mainland China, and the United States, will find it easier with improved connectivity to these countries. The increased capacity is anticipated to satisfy demand from tourists flying to Sri Lanka, France, China, and India, including a few countries that make up Madagascar’s population. Dubai is a well-liked vacation and short-term stopover destination for Seychelles nationals due to the ease of travelling there without a visa.

Travellers flying with Emirates can enjoy the best experience in the sky with an unmatched culinary experience, thanks to regionally inspired multi-course menus developed by a team of chefs and a wide selection of premium beverages. Customers can sit back and relax with more than 6,500 channels of carefully curated global entertainment content featuring movies, TV shows, music, podcasts, games, audiobooks, and more, along with ice, Emirates’ inflight entertainment system.
