APPOINTMENT
Edrington has appointed Paul Ross as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Edrington India.
Based in Gurgaon, Ross will be responsible for leading Edrington’s operations in India and driving the growth of its premium Scotch whisky portfolio, including The Macallan and Highland Park. In his new role, he will work closely with local partners and stakeholders to further develop a locally anchored business aligned with evolving consumer demand for premium and ultra-premium spirits.
The appointment comes in the backdrop of the UK–India trade agreement signed last year, which is expected to reduce tariffs on Scotch whisky imports into India. Edrington has indicated that this development reinforces its confidence in India as a strategic growth market, supported by a growing interest in premium spirits among consumers.
Ross brings more than 30 years of experience with Edrington, having held senior leadership positions across Asia Pacific, the UK, and the Americas. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer, Edrington Americas, where he led the expansion of The Macallan in the US market. His earlier roles within the group have involved overseeing brand development and business growth across diverse international markets.
