Emirates Aviation University Holds 36th Graduation Ceremony, Confers Degrees to 379 Students

Emirates Aviation University (EAU) marked its 36th graduation ceremony in Dubai, celebrating the achievements of 379 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. To date, the university has produced more than 26,500 graduates and reports a 94% employability rate, highlighting its role in supporting the aviation and technology talent pipeline.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group and Chancellor of the EAU, conferred certificates on the graduating cohort. Speaking at the ceremony, he said the aviation sector is entering a period shaped by digital transformation and innovation, and that the next generation of professionals will play an important role in navigating evolving industry demands. He congratulated the graduates as they began their careers in aviation and related fields.

Graduates were joined by senior Emirates Group executives, EAU leadership, faculty members, and their families and friends.

Professor Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University, said the graduating class reflects the talent developed at EAU. He noted that the university’s programmes are designed to align with current requirements in the aviation and technology sectors, helping students build industry-relevant expertise and a future-focused approach. He added that graduates are prepared to contribute to a sector undergoing ongoing transformation.

The ceremony also reflected EAU’s diverse academic community and its portfolio of specialised disciplines. Students completed studies in areas including aviation management, aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance engineering, logistics and supply chain management, aviation safety and security, along with other fields supporting the broader aviation ecosystem.

As part of the Emirates Group, EAU works closely with Emirates and dnata to offer practical learning opportunities. In 2025, the Group trained 130 EAU interns and, over the years, has hosted more than 3,000 interns, giving students exposure to operational environments and industry processes.

Of the 379 graduates, 296 completed bachelor’s degrees and 83 completed postgraduate qualifications. The cohort included 28 engineering students fully sponsored by Emirates Engineering and 121 UAE Nationals. EAU also recognised 20 students for academic performance across disciplines.

EAU continues to emphasise holistic education through blended learning methods, access to research facilities, and participation in industry collaborations and conferences. During the Dubai Airshow 2025, students presented engineering and artificial intelligence projects as part of the NextGen Leaders Programme, gaining experience at an international aviation and aerospace event.
