Anantara Çeşme Retreat to Expand Minor Hotels’ Presence in Türkiye

Minor Hotels has announced plans to develop Anantara Retreat Çeşme and Anantara Residences Çeşme in Türkiye’s Aegean region. Scheduled to open in 2030, the project will expand the group’s presence in the country and introduce the Anantara brand to the Çeşme district of İzmir Province.

Located in the village of Çakabey, the development will feature 54 guestrooms, suites and private pool villas, along with 50 branded residences. The property will include multiple dining venues, a rooftop bar, an Anantara Spa & Wellness Centre, swimming pools, tennis and padel courts, and a Kids & Teens Club.

The project forms part of the wider Castello Fontana development and is being built by Arikan Proje Geliştirme A.Ş. The mixed-use destination is planned around hospitality, gastronomy, agriculture, culture and wellbeing, reflecting the character of Türkiye’s Aegean region.

Amir Golbarg, Chief Operating Officer, Minor Hotels Middle East & Africa, said Çeşme offers a combination of coastal scenery, local cuisine and wellness experiences, making it a suitable location for the Anantara brand and supporting the company’s long-term plans in Türkiye.

Orfea Tito Arıkan, Chair of the Board of Arikan Proje Geliştirme, said the partnership aims to create a destination that combines hospitality, culture, gastronomy, nature and wellbeing while reflecting the identity of Çeşme.

Located around one hour from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, Çeşme is known for its coastline as well as its vineyards, olive groves, thermal springs, and historic villages, offering visitors access to leisure, wellness, and cultural experiences.
