Sapporo Welcomes Holiday Inn Express in Susukino

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Holiday Inn Express Sapporo Susukino, marking the brand’s first hotel in Hokkaido and its second Holiday Inn Express property in Japan.

Located in Susukino, Sapporo’s entertainment and dining district, the 223-room hotel is designed to serve both business and leisure travellers visiting the city.

First Holiday Inn Express in Hokkaido

The new hotel is also the first Holiday Inn Express in Japan to feature the brand’s Generation 5 (Gen 5) design concept. The updated layout includes flexible public spaces centred around the Express Café, where guests can enjoy the complimentary Express Start Breakfast each morning.

Facilities include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, self-service laundry, and guest rooms equipped with amenities associated with the Holiday Inn Express brand.

Convenient Access to Sapporo Attractions

The hotel is a five-minute walk from Susukino Subway Station, providing access to attractions including Odori Park, Sapporo Clock Tower and Nijo Market.

Guests staying at the property can also explore Hokkaido’s seasonal attractions, with the city serving as a gateway to destinations across the island year-round.

Commenting on the opening, Seiichi Kotake, General Manager of the hotel, said the hotel is positioned to welcome guests visiting Sapporo for business, leisure and the city’s dining experiences.
