British Airways adds Avios-Only flights from London City to Madrid and Toulon

British Airways has announced the release of two new Avios-Only flights, with 100% of seats available exclusively as Reward Seats. The services will operate from London City Airport to Madrid and Toulon Saint-Tropez, marking the airline’s 50th Avios-Only flight.

Available exclusively to members of The British Airways Club, seats will go on sale from 12 February 2026. Fares start from £2 plus 21,500 Avios for Toulon and £2 plus 28,000 Avios for Madrid, including a 23kg checked baggage allowance.

The Madrid service offers customers the opportunity to visit the Spanish capital over the late May bank holiday, while the Toulon flight introduces a new British Airways destination for summer 2026. Toulon Airport serves the French Riviera and is the closest airport to Saint-Tropez. All flights will depart from and return to London City Airport.

Since launching Avios-Only flights in 2023, British Airways has operated 48 such services to 16 destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East, including Cape Town, Barbados, Sharm El Sheikh, Málaga and Marrakesh. With the addition of Madrid and Toulon, the airline will exceed 50 Avios-Only flights, with the Madrid return sector marking the 50th service.

Adam Daniels, CEO of IAG Loyalty, added that the new services reflect ongoing demand for Avios-Only flights and provide additional redemption options on London City Airport routes.

Customers holding a British Airways American Express Credit Card can also use Companion Vouchers on Avios-Only flights, allowing a second seat to be booked for no additional Avios, subject to taxes and charges.

In addition to Avios-Only flights, British Airways offers Reward Seats across its network at fixed Avios rates. The airline guarantees a minimum number of Reward Seats on all routes, including services from London City Airport, where four Reward Seats are available on each flight. On Avios-Only flights, all seats across cabins can be booked using Avios via ba.com.
