British Airways Expands 2026 Summer Schedule with More Long-Haul Flights
British Airways has announced additional flights to long-haul destinations from London Gatwick and Heathrow for summer 2026, giving customers more travel options.
Bangkok
British Airways will operate year-round flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok, shifting from its previous winter-only schedule. Starting summer 2026, the airline will fly three times per week, increasing to six flights per week during the winter season. This adjustment adds nearly 60,000 seats for travel to Bangkok next year. Through the airline’s expanded codeshare with Bangkok Airways, customers can also connect to destinations including Phuket and Phnom Penh.
Jamaica
An extra weekly service from London Gatwick to Kingston, Jamaica, will bring the total to four flights per week during summer 2026. This adds more than 300 seats each week for customers on the London–Jamaica route.
Miami and Dallas
British Airways will restore its double-daily service from London Heathrow to Miami and resume daily flights to Dallas-Fort Worth.
Las Vegas
Flights from Heathrow to Las Vegas will increase from 10 to 13 per week.
San Diego and Austin
Services to San Diego and Austin will both increase to 14 flights per week.
New York
Flights to New York (JFK) will operate exclusively from London Heathrow, with nine daily services. The newest service will use a 777-200 aircraft, which includes First and Club Suite cabins.
Middle East
Flights to Bahrain will increase to a daily service. In Saudi Arabia, Jeddah will move to five weekly flights, while Riyadh will increase to 14 per week. Services to Doha will also expand to 14 per week.
Short-Haul Updates

Earlier this year, British Airways added Rabat, Morocco, and Graz, Austria, to its short-haul network. BA Euroflyer, the airline’s Gatwick-based subsidiary, will operate year-round flights to both cities beginning in the 2025 winter season.
Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said: “We are adding more flights to destinations in the US, Caribbean, Middle East, and Asia from Heathrow and Gatwick. These changes provide more flexibility for customers travelling for business, leisure, or to visit family and friends.”
