Balfour Miami Beach Joins Wyndham’s Registry Collection Hotels

Balfour Miami Beach has joined Registry Collection Hotels, marking a new chapter for the 82-room Art Deco property located in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighbourhood. The addition brings a historic hotel with deep local roots into Wyndham’s growing portfolio of independent, design-led properties.

Originally designed in 1940 by architect Anton Skislewicz, Balfour Miami Beach is located in the city’s Art Deco District, known for its distinctive architecture, pastel façades, and vibrant streetscape. The hotel’s heritage remains central to its identity, with restored architectural details complemented by updated interiors that reflect contemporary Miami style.

A long-standing presence in South Beach, the hotel features a pool terrace, social spaces, and on-site dining, all within walking distance of the beach and nearby cultural and dining hubs. Its layout includes two restored buildings connected by a palm-lined courtyard, reinforcing a sense of place and continuity with the neighbourhood.

Guest rooms and suites combine mid-century design elements with modern comforts, including herringbone flooring, marble rain showers, Italian linens, in-room coffee service, and curated bath amenities. Guests also have access to complimentary beach chairs, bicycles for local exploration, and pet-friendly accommodations.

Dining options include Laurel, the hotel’s on-site restaurant serving Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and SoFi Coffee, a casual café offering artisanal beverages and light fare. Wellness sessions on weekends and relaxed communal areas further support a balanced stay experience.

Leo Danese, Vice President of Lifestyle Brands at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said the hotel aligns with Registry Collection Hotels’ focus on properties with strong character, location-driven appeal, and a welcoming approach to hospitality.

Andrew Stegen, Executive Vice President of Operations at FullG CRE Investments, noted that the partnership allows Balfour Miami Beach to reach a wider audience while maintaining the identity and atmosphere that returning guests value.

As part of Registry Collection Hotels, Balfour Miami Beach joins a portfolio of independent properties, including The Mining Exchange and Ajul Luxury Hotel & Spa Resort, with further expansion planned in new markets, including India, from 2026.

The hotel now participates in Wyndham Rewards, providing guests access to Wyndham’s global distribution platform and loyalty network while retaining its individual character and local connection.
