New Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Appointed at Travalyst

APPOINTMENT

Travalyst has announced the appointment of Julie Cheetham as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Julie takes on the role as Travalyst prepares for its 2026 initiatives, which include scaling the development of its Data Hub, working towards improved industry alignment on sustainability information, and contributing to discussions around policy in travel and tourism.

She holds over 20 years of experience across commerce, tourism, sustainability, and regenerative business models. She was part of the founding team at Weeva, a sustainability management platform for accommodation providers, and later served as its CEO. Under her leadership, the platform expanded to users in 86 countries before being acquired by Travalyst in 2024.

Her professional background includes work across financial services, tourism, technology, and non-governmental organisations. Earlier in her career, Julie has worked in financial services and corporate transformation, with experiences at Standard Bank, BMGi, and National Australia Bank, focusing on strategy, operational processes, and change management.
