Alaska Airlines has launched daily nonstop flights between Seattle and London Heathrow, further expanding the airline’s international network.
The year-round service marks Alaska Airlines’ second European destination, introduced in 2026, following the recent launch of flights to Rome. The airline is also scheduled to begin nonstop services to Reykjavík, Iceland, on 28 May.
The new London Heathrow route will operate from Terminal 3 and aims to improve connectivity between the US West Coast and Europe while supporting onward travel through Alaska Airlines’ oneworld alliance partnerships.
Passengers travelling from the UK will also gain easier access to destinations across the airline’s West Coast network, including Seattle and the Hawaiian Islands.
Andrew Harrison, Chief Commercial Officer at Alaska Airlines, said the airline’s expansion into Europe forms part of its strategy to strengthen international connectivity while maintaining its focus on customer experience and West Coast hospitality.
The airline also highlighted expanded lounge access for Alaska Lounge+ members and eligible premium passengers through partner lounges at Heathrow and across the oneworld network.
Ross Baker, Chief Customer Officer at Heathrow Airport, said the addition of the Seattle service further strengthens transatlantic connectivity between the UK and the US West Coast.
The new route forms part of the airline’s broader international growth plans as the carrier continues expanding its long-haul operations and global partnerships.
