AirAsia Introduces Thai Longan Inflight Menu Across Its Network
AirAsia Expands Longan Menu to Support Thai Farmers and Enhance Inflight Dining
AirAsia Thailand has introduced a new Santan inflight menu featuring Thai longan, with a focus on supporting local agricultural communities while offering passengers a fresh selection of meals and beverages. The menu is now available on all Thai AirAsia (FD) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ) flights.
The new range uses longan sourced directly from orchards in Thailand, incorporating the fruit into a mix of savoury dishes, desserts and drinks. The initiative reflects the airline’s ongoing collaboration with the Department of Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce, which aims to support farmers and promote local produce.

On-anong Methapipatkul, Director of Inflight Services for Thai AirAsia, said the menu was developed to create value for both passengers and producers. By featuring longan in multiple dishes, the airline is helping extend demand for the fruit while introducing travellers to familiar Thai flavours in a different format.
Among the dishes on offer is Nam Tok Gai Yang with Longan Sauce and Sticky Rice, which combines grilled chicken salad with a lightly sweet longan-based sauce. Passengers can also choose Earl Grey tea with fresh longan, served chilled, or opt for sweet sticky rice with longan, a dessert prepared with coconut milk and fresh fruit.

The airline continues to maintain standard hygiene and food-handling practices across its in-flight services. Passengers can pre-book meals on the airline’s website or the MOVE app, where they can also select their preferred dishes in advance.
The longan menu is part of AirAsia’s broader effort to connect inflight dining with local sourcing, while providing passengers with a menu that reflects regional ingredients and culinary traditions.
