AirAsia Launches Five New Routes in December

AirAsia has introduced five new routes across AirAsia Thailand and AirAsia X Thailand this December, providing travellers with additional options for year-end travel.

Thai AirAsia X (XJ) begins three direct international routes from Bangkok Don Mueang:

  • Bangkok–Sendai (Japan), 4 weekly flights (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun)

  • Bangkok–Almaty (Kazakhstan), 4 weekly flights (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun)

  • Bangkok–Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), 4 weekly flights (Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun)

Thai AirAsia (FD) expands domestic and regional connectivity with:

  • Chiang Mai–Udon Thani, 4 weekly flights (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun)

  • Bangkok Don Mueang–Luang Prabang–Hanoi (Fifth Freedom route), starting 1 December 2025

Airport authorities and local partners with on-ground activities, souvenirs, and greetings for passengers welcomed all inaugural flights.

Mr Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, stated that the new routes enhance travel connectivity within Thailand and internationally, offering more options for both local and inbound travellers. The new Chiang Mai–Udon Thani route provides a direct connection between Northern and Northeastern Thailand.

Mrs Pattra Boosarawongse, CEO of Thai AirAsia X, added that the launch will help travellers access new destinations across Asia and beyond.

Passengers can book these routes via the AirAsia Move app or at airasia.com.
