Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Ahmad Shaban Fernandez as Cluster General Manager for NH Collection Dubai The Palm and Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel, effective 1st August 2025.
In his new role, Ahmad will oversee both hotels’ operations and strategic direction, while also leading Dukes The Palm through an upcoming repositioning.
Ahmad brings with him over 20 years of international hospitality experience, with expertise in commercial strategy, managing large-scale hotel operations, driving revenue growth, management and operational leadership.
He has held senior leadership roles with renowned hotel brands, including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Barceló Hotel Group, Meliá Hotels International, Rotana Hotels, and Marriott International.
Most recently, he served as General Manager of InterContinental Al Khobar, where he spearheaded the repositioning of the property.
