JW Marriott Auckland Appoints Payal Kulkarni as Hotel Manager

JW Marriott Auckland has appointed Payal Kulkarni as Hotel Manager.

Payal brings over 20 years of international hospitality experience across Southeast Asia, the UAE, and New Zealand, including more than a decade with Marriott International. Her expertise spans hotel operations, human resources, leadership development, and organisational culture.

She has been associated with JW Marriott Auckland since 2023, where she most recently served as Executive Assistant Manager – Human Resources (Multi-Property). Prior to that, she held the position of Human Resources Director at the hotel, where she was involved in people strategy, employee engagement, and organisational development initiatives.

Her earlier experience includes roles as Area Director of Human Resources – Abu Dhabi and Jordan with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Director of Human Resources at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas, and Director of Human Resources at The Ritz-Carlton, Pune. She has also held various roles within Marriott International across her career.

In her new role, Payal will oversee hotel operations, with a focus on team leadership, guest experience, and operational performance.

She has received industry recognition for her work in human resources and leadership, including regional and international HR awards.

The appointment reflects the hotel’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team and supporting its operational and strategic objectives.
