Emirates Launches Third Daily Phuket Flight
Emirates Expands Phuket Services with Airbus A350
Emirates has announced a third daily non-stop service between Dubai and Phuket, increasing capacity on one of its key routes to Thailand.
The additional flight will be operated by the Airbus A350-900, introducing the airline’s Premium Economy cabin on the Phuket route while providing travellers with more flight options between Dubai and the Thai island.
With the new service, Emirates will operate 21 weekly flights to Phuket using a combination of Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.
The new EK390 service departs Dubai at 22:40 and arrives in Phuket at 08:10 the following day. The return flight, EK391, departs Phuket at 10:00 and arrives in Dubai at 13:05 (local time).
The additional frequency is expected to support growing travel demand from Europe and the Middle East while offering improved connectivity through Dubai.
Passengers travelling from cities including Manchester, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Kuwait and Bahrain will benefit from more convenient connections to Phuket. The new schedule also improves onward travel from Phuket to destinations such as Madrid, Munich, Birmingham, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Edinburgh, Zurich and Amman.
The new daytime departure from Phuket will also strengthen cargo connectivity by providing additional capacity for shipments, including perishables, electronic components, and general cargo, to markets across Europe, the United Kingdom, Africa, the Gulf region, and North America.
Airbus A350 Features
The Airbus A350-900 operates in a three-class configuration with:
- 32 Business Class seats
- 28 Premium Economy seats
- 238 Economy Class seats
Passengers will also have access to updated inflight entertainment, improved onboard connectivity and enhanced cabin features. Premium Economy travellers receive a checked baggage allowance of 35 kg and 10 kg of cabin baggage.
Continued Growth in Thailand
The additional Phuket service forms part of Emirates’ continued expansion in Thailand. Recent developments include the opening of the airline’s renovated lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport’s SAT-1 terminal, the launch of its Emirates World Store in Bangkok, and the introduction of fifth freedom services connecting Bangkok with Siem Reap and Da Nang.
Emirates also operates its Premium Economy cabin on selected flights between Dubai and Bangkok using the Airbus A380.
