Hyatt Regency Expands Presence with New Tucson Hotel Project

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with HSL Properties and Desert Hospitality Management, has announced plans to open Hyatt Regency Tucson Convention Center, with the hotel expected to welcome guests in late 2027.

Located in downtown Tucson, the property will become the city’s first Hyatt Regency hotel and will strengthen Hyatt’s presence in Southern Arizona.

The redevelopment project will introduce 291 guest rooms and suites, a fitness centre, a redesigned swimming pool and around 22,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Facilities will include a ballroom and several meeting rooms designed for conferences, corporate events, weddings and social gatherings.

The new hotel is expected to support Tucson’s meetings and events sector by providing additional accommodation and event facilities for regional and national gatherings.

Omar Mireles, President of HSL Properties, said the investment reflects confidence in Tucson’s continued development and aims to support tourism, conventions and the local economy while providing guests with a comfortable stay.
