Business Traveller Awards Recognize Emirates for Airline and Lounge Services
Emirates has been recognised at the 2026 Business Traveller Middle East (BTME) Awards, receiving three awards, including Best Airline Worldwide, Best First Class and Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East for its First Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport.
The annual Business Traveller Middle East Awards recognize achievements across the business travel sector, with winners selected through nominations and voting by the publication’s readers. Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, accepted the awards on behalf of the airline.
The recognition comes as Emirates continues to invest in its products, services and customer experience. The airline is progressing with its fleet refurbishment programme, with 219 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft undergoing cabin upgrades. At the same time, new Airbus A350 aircraft are entering service, introducing updated cabin products and technologies across its network.
Refurbished aircraft and Airbus A350s are now operating to more than 70 destinations, providing passengers with a more consistent travel experience across the airline’s global network.
Emirates’ First Class offering includes private suites, onboard dining options, premium amenities and exclusive services designed to enhance the passenger journey. The experience is complemented by chauffeur-driven services in selected destinations, priority airport services and access to Emirates lounges worldwide.
The airline’s First Class Lounges at Dubai International Airport, recognised in the awards programme, offer facilities including à la carte dining, spa treatments, premium shopping options, curated beverage selections and direct boarding access from selected gates.
Emirates is also continuing to expand its onboard technology. The airline has begun introducing Starlink connectivity across its fleet, allowing passengers to access high-speed internet services during their journey. So far, 36 aircraft have been equipped with the technology.
In addition, the airline recently introduced Comprehensive Travel Cover insurance is preparing to launch a daily service to Helsinki in October, further expanding its network between the UAE and Northern Europe.
These developments form part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance passenger services both in the air and on the ground.
