Adam Modica Appointed General Manager at 33 Hotel New York City Seaport

33 Hotel New York City Seaport has appointed Adam Modica as General Manager, effective immediately.

In his new role, Modica will oversee the overall operations of the 66-key boutique hotel, with a focus on guest experience, operational performance, and strengthening the property’s positioning within the South Street Seaport neighbourhood.

Modica brings over 25 years of hospitality experience across the New York City market, including more than a decade as General Manager of both branded and independent hotels. His career includes leadership roles with major hospitality groups such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG, as well as independent and lifestyle properties.
He has an operations-focused background, with experience spanning hotel operations, revenue management, budgeting and forecasting, sales and marketing collaboration, capital improvements, and asset performance.
Prior to this appointment, Modica worked closely with commercial teams to support revenue growth, market positioning, and operational efficiency across multiple properties.
A native of New York, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from The Pennsylvania State University.
His appointment reflects the hotel’s focus on operational leadership and continued development within the New York City hospitality market.
