Leonardo Hotels Appoints Daniela Bartels as Head of MICE Central Europe

Leonardo Hotels has appointed Daniela Bartels as Head of MICE Central Europe, a newly created leadership position aimed at supporting the company’s meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) business across the region. The appointment took effect on 1 April 2026.

Bartels returns to Leonardo Hotels after previously serving as Director of Sales Cluster North between 2014 and 2015. She brings extensive experience in the MICE and sales sectors, having held various leadership roles within the hospitality industry.
The creation of the new position reflects Leonardo Hotels’ focus on the MICE segment as part of its growth strategy. The hotel group currently offers nearly 500 conference rooms across Central Europe and hosts approximately 26,000 events annually.
According to the company, the role has been established to support the further development of proactive sales initiatives, strengthen market presence and identify new business opportunities within the meetings and events sector. The company stated that around 80 percent of its MICE-related revenue is currently generated through direct business channels.
In her new role, Bartels will oversee the strategic development of the MICE business across Central Europe. She will lead a team of five specialists responsible for supporting and advising MICE agencies, professional congress organizers (PCOs), associations and seminar providers.
Leonardo Hotels said the appointment forms part of its broader efforts to enhance its position in the meetings and events market and support future growth across the region.
