Miami Airport Launches New FIFA World Cup-Themed Art Exhibition
Miami Airport is celebrating the arrival of the FIFA World Cup with a new art exhibition that highlights the cultural influence of football and showcases the work of local artists from South Florida.
Titled Beyond the Pitch: Artists in Their Field, the exhibition is currently on display at the Gate D31 Gallery at Miami International Airport and will remain open through 10 August 2026. The showcase brings together 14 South Florida artists who use football as a creative lens to explore themes including community, culture, unity and human connection.
The exhibition arrives as Miami prepares to welcome millions of visitors travelling for FIFA World Cup matches taking place across North America.
Exhibition Features Diverse Artistic Styles
The exhibition includes works across a wide range of artistic mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, video art, printmaking, collage and mixed-media installations.
Through their individual perspectives, the participating artists explore themes such as sportsmanship, perseverance, athleticism, cultural identity and global community. The exhibition highlights football’s ability to connect people across generations, languages and national borders.

Together, their works provide travellers with an opportunity to experience Miami’s creative community while passing through one of the region’s busiest transportation hubs.

Additional World Cup Art Exhibition on Display
In conjunction with Beyond the Pitch, Miami Airport is also presenting GOOOAL! Kicking Off Creativity: Miami’s FIFA World Cup Celebration.
The exhibition features artwork created by students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools through a partnership with the Division of Life Skills and Special Projects.
The student exhibition is on display through 14 October in The Children’s Gallery located in the Concourse D-E connector area.
Airport Combines Travel and Culture
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said the exhibition helps create a welcoming atmosphere as visitors arrive for World Cup events while also showcasing the diversity of Miami’s arts community.
She noted that travellers from around the world will have the opportunity to experience local culture and creativity alongside the excitement surrounding the tournament.
MIA Galleries Continue Cultural Programming
Established in 1996, the MIA Galleries programme is managed by Miami International Airport’s Fine Arts and Cultural Affairs Division.
The programme aims to enhance the travel experience by presenting exhibitions that reflect the cultural diversity, artistic talent and creative identity of South Florida. Through initiatives such as Beyond the Pitch, Miami Airport continues to integrate art and culture into the passenger journey while celebrating major global events hosted by the region.
