Delta Offers Flexible Travel Options as Storms Affect Atlanta and Northeast Flights
Flexible Travel Options Issued Ahead of Storm Impact
With severe thunderstorms forecast near Delta’s Atlanta hub on Monday morning and further unsettled weather expected across several airports in the U.S. Southeast and Northeast, including New York City and Boston, Delta Air Lines has introduced flexible travel options for affected customers.
Weather-related delays and possible cancellations are expected today, as the storm system moves across the region.
Passengers travelling to, from or through the affected airports on Monday are encouraged to adjust their travel plans either before or after the expected weather conditions to reduce the risk of disruption. Changes can be made through the Delta mobile app or on the airline’s website.
Customers are also advised to regularly monitor their flight status in the Delta app or online for the latest updates. The airline stated that it will inform travellers as early as possible if schedule adjustments are required.

In the event of a cancellation, Delta will automatically rebook customers on the next available itinerary.
The airline added that it continues to monitor weather forecasts closely and will make operational adjustments where necessary, with passenger and employee safety remaining a priority.
