Assotech Realty Partners with Atmosphere Core to Develop All-Suite Hospitality Project in Shirdi
Investment and Development Plans for the Shirdi Project
Assotech Realty, Delhi, has announced a collaboration with Atmosphere Core, an international hospitality company that operates resorts in the Maldives and is expanding its presence across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan, as well as a heritage hotel planned in Italy.
Under the agreement, Atmosphere Core will operate and manage Assotech’s upcoming all-suite property in Shirdi, Maharashtra.
Assotech Realty, promoted by Mr. Neeraj Gulati, plans to invest around INR 200 crore in the development. The project will include 160 suites, each measuring approximately 45 square metres. The property is being designed to cater to pilgrims, leisure travellers and visitors travelling to Shirdi.
The agreement reflects a broader shift in temple towns, where rising visitor numbers and infrastructure development are driving the growth of organised tourism and hospitality services.
Shirdi receives around 25 million devotees each year. Improvements in road connectivity, airport access and regional infrastructure are gradually shaping the town into a more structured travel destination, where spiritual visits are often combined with leisure travel and longer stays.
The upcoming hotel aims to provide an integrated stay experience that combines modern hospitality with the region’s cultural and spiritual character. The development is also expected to attract travellers seeking larger accommodation formats, including NRIs and high-net-worth individuals who prefer extended stays.
Commenting on the partnership, Neeraj Gulati, Managing Director of Assotech Realty, said the company views the project as part of Shirdi’s ongoing urban and tourism development.
“Shirdi has long held spiritual importance, but in recent years we have also seen growing infrastructure development and improved connectivity. Our partnership with Atmosphere Core reflects our belief that destinations of religious significance should also have hospitality options that align with current traveller expectations while respecting the local culture,” he said.
Gulati added that the project is part of Assotech’s broader plan to develop hospitality properties across pilgrimage destinations and business and leisure markets in India.
“Our focus is to develop an all-suite property that responds to changing traveller preferences. Many visitors, including NRIs and high-net-worth devotees, prefer longer stays and accommodation formats that provide larger living spaces,” he said.
Salil Panigrahi, Co-founder and Managing Director of Atmosphere Core, said spiritual tourism destinations in India are witnessing more organised travel demand alongside devotional visits.
“Destinations such as Shirdi attract visitors throughout the year. Travellers increasingly look for comfort, curated experiences and service standards when visiting pilgrimage centres. Our collaboration with Assotech allows us to bring our hospitality expertise to a destination that holds strong cultural significance,” Panigrahi said.
He added that the project is planned as a hospitality offering that reflects the calm and cultural character associated with Shirdi while supporting the town’s evolving tourism landscape.
Growing Hospitality Infrastructure in India’s Temple Towns

As travel to temple towns across India continues to grow, new hospitality developments are expected to contribute to local economies, create employment opportunities and improve visitor facilities.
The Shirdi project is also expected to support the city’s evolving tourism infrastructure by adding accommodation capacity that aligns with changing traveller expectations.
