Minor Hotels Announces Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Opening in 2026
Minor Hotels has announced the upcoming launch of Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane, a lifestyle hotel scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026. The property will be the group’s second hotel in Laos, joining Avani+ Luang Prabang in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Luang Prabang.
The new hotel will expand Minor Hotels’ presence in the country and support the growth of its Avani Hotels & Resorts portfolio in Southeast Asia.
A new hotel in central Vientiane
Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will be located on Fa Ngum Road in Vientiane, approximately 15 minutes from Wattay International Airport. The location places the hotel near the Mekong riverfront and within easy reach of business districts, cultural sites and government institutions.
The hotel is being developed as a base for both business and leisure travellers, reflecting the city’s role as an administrative centre and an entry point for visitors to Laos.
Guestrooms designed for comfort and flexibility

The property will feature 197 guestrooms across several categories, including Deluxe Rooms, Suites and a Presidential Suite. The room layouts are designed to support both relaxation and work, with functional spaces and contemporary interiors that reflect Avani’s modern lifestyle approach.
Design elements throughout the hotel focus on practical comfort and simple, clean aesthetics intended to suit a range of travel needs.
Dining and social spaces
Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will include four dining and social venues.
Mekong Mosaic will serve as the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, offering international cuisine with buffet selections and live cooking stations, along with indoor and outdoor seating.
Sabaidee Social will be a bar-led venue located on the ground floor with direct street access, designed as a casual meeting place for both hotel guests and local residents.
The Pantry will operate as a café and deli serving coffee, light meals and snacks throughout the day, providing a convenient setting for informal meetings or quick stops.
For more formal dining occasions, Salongxay will offer a restaurant concept with two private dining rooms designed for small gatherings and hosted meals.
Wellness and fitness facilities
Wellness facilities will include AvaniSpa, located on the mezzanine floor. The spa will feature three single treatment rooms and two couples’ treatment rooms, along with a relaxation lounge.
The same level will also house AvaniFit, a fitness centre equipped with a gym, a body and mind studio and changing facilities. On the ground floor, an outdoor swimming pool will provide an additional space for relaxation.
Meetings and events
The hotel will also include several event and meeting facilities. The Lanexang Hall ballroom will accommodate up to 320 guests and can be divided into two function rooms. A bridal and VIP room will support wedding and event preparations.
Additional meeting rooms will be available for corporate events and private gatherings, while an outdoor lawn area will accommodate receptions and social functions for up to 100 guests.
Expanding Minor Hotels’ presence in Laos

The project extends the group’s presence in Laos with Avani+ Luang Prabang. It aligns with its broader strategy to grow in destinations where lifestyle hospitality enhances cultural and heritage tourism. Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026.
