Uttar Pradesh Government Appoints New Director General- Tourism

APPOINTMENT

The Uttar Pradesh Government has announced the appointment of Dr Vedpati Mishra as the new Director General of Tourism for the state.

Goverment of Uttar Pradesh has appointed Dr Vedpati Mishra, a 2008-batch IAS officer, as the new Director General of Tourism, UP.

Before this appointment, Dr Mishra served as Secretary, UP State Information Commission.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the state’s tourism promotion strategy, new initiatives, and implementation of tourism-related policies.

The government has also reappointed Rajesh Kumar II, a 2009-batch Indian Administrative Service officer as Secretary, UP State Human Rights Commission.

The appointments signals the state government’s effort to strengthen leadership and governance across key departments.
