AirAsia Launches Interactive “AirAsia World” on Roblox to Engage ASEAN Audiences

AirAsia has officially launched AirAsia World on Roblox, an interactive metaverse experience aimed at introducing users to Southeast Asia’s cultural and travel landscapes through virtual adventures.

AirAsia World focuses on two main themes: ASEAN Exploration and Exciting Experiences. It invites players to engage in the diversity of the ASEAN region through interactive and gamified experiences.

Key Features:

1. ASEAN Exploration

Players can journey through a vibrant digital version of Southeast Asia, each area offering cultural elements inspired by local traditions. The platform aims to foster regional curiosity and awareness in an accessible and entertaining format.

2. Exciting Experience

The virtual world offers mini-games, travel logs, and seasonal content updates. These features provide players with various interactive rewards as they explore the digital ASEAN landscape.

Development & Partnerships

Developed by AirAsia Brand Co. (ABC) in collaboration with Objekk and Lumiworks Sdn Bhd, the project is supported by the IP 360 Metaverse Grant from the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). This initiative supports Malaysia-based creators and promotes investment in digital and creative technologies.

Explore Two Main Zones:

AirAsia Central

The central hub includes go-kart races in the AirAsia Ride Grand Prix and a Pilot Academy simulator that tests users’ flight skills and reflexes.

ASEAN Island

A virtual map where players can discover well-known Southeast Asian destinations. Players can also feed their avatars with dishes inspired by AirAsia’s in-flight Santan menu.
