Wyndham and Ovolo Partner to Expand Lifestyle Hotel Presence Across Asia Pacific
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Ovolo Group have entered into a strategic partnership that will see five Ovolo hotels in Australia and Hong Kong join the Wyndham brand portfolio in the coming months. Ovolo will continue to own and manage its brand while collaborating with Wyndham to explore further development opportunities throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The agreement brings together Ovolo’s boutique-style hospitality and Wyndham’s global network and infrastructure. It aligns with growing consumer interest in experiential travel, particularly among younger demographics such as Gen Z—a trend McKinsey estimates is part of a global USD 1 trillion market opportunity.
“This partnership expands Wyndham’s presence in the upscale lifestyle segment in Asia Pacific by combining Ovolo’s brand identity with our operational scale,” said Joon Aun Ooi, President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific.
Shivang Jhunjhnuwala, Chief of Staff at Ovolo Group, added, “Since 2010, we’ve built a brand that blends culture, design, and hospitality. Working with Wyndham allows us to scale while retaining our distinct approach.”
Five Ovolo properties—located in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Hong Kong, and comprising over 450 rooms- are expected to become part of Wyndham’s global system by late 2025. These hotels will gain access to Wyndham’s marketing, distribution, and loyalty platforms, including the Wyndham Rewards program, which has around 120 million members.

Wyndham noted that the collaboration supports its regional growth strategy, enabled by its Wyndham Advantage platform—an integrated suite of marketing, distribution, and technology services. The partnership reflects a joint focus on growing in the lifestyle segment while responding to evolving traveller expectations across the Asia Pacific region.
