Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Ramada Resort by Wyndham Talera Kota, a 200-room development in partnership with Lalit Singh Muktawat. The resort is scheduled to open in March 2029, marking a significant addition to the hospitality landscape of Kota.

Strategically located along the city’s riverfront, the upcoming resort is designed to cater to a mix of corporate, leisure and group travellers. Kota, widely recognised as one of India’s leading educational hubs, is also a growing industrial centre, with sectors such as chemicals, cement, engineering and power contributing to its economic development. Continued infrastructure investment and improved connectivity are further driving demand for branded hospitality offerings in the region.

The property will be located approximately 10 kilometres from the proposed Kota Airport, which is expected to enhance both domestic and international connectivity. This improved accessibility is likely to support the city’s appeal among business travellers as well as tourists exploring Rajasthan’s cultural heritage.

Kota is home to a range of historical and architectural attractions, including forts, palaces, havelis and stepwells, positioning it as an emerging destination beyond its established educational identity.

Upon completion, Ramada Resort by Wyndham Talera Kota will feature 200 guest rooms, including villas. The resort will also offer an all-day dining restaurant, bar, extensive meeting and event facilities, large banqueting spaces, a fitness centre, swimming pool, spa and dedicated recreational areas, making it suitable for both large-scale events and leisure stays.

Commenting on the development, Lalit Singh Muktawat, said, “We are proud to partner with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to introduce the globally recognised Ramada Resort brand to Kota. As the city continues to expand economically and attract increasing numbers of visitors, we believe this development will elevate the hospitality offering in the region and contribute meaningfully to its long-term tourism and infrastructure growth.”

Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director – Eurasia at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, added, “With Kota emerging as a prominent commercial and educational center in Rajasthan, we are pleased to strengthen our presence in the region with a globally recognized and trusted brand. By focusing on tier-2 and tier-3 cities, we aim to tap into new growth opportunities and cater to the evolving preferences of guests across India’s rapidly expanding markets.

The signing reflects Wyndham’s broader strategy of strengthening its presence in high-growth secondary markets across India, where increasing urbanisation, infrastructure development and rising travel demand are creating new opportunities for global hospitality brands.
