Expansion across leisure and business destinations supports growth strategy

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has crossed the 100-hotel mark in Mexico, marking continued expansion in one of its key international markets. The company has grown its presence steadily over the past five years, adding properties across leisure, business and cultural destinations.

The portfolio now spans more than 50 cities and includes 15 brands, supported by a pipeline of additional developments. Mexico continues to play an important role in Wyndham’s international plans, driven by domestic travel demand, international arrivals and ongoing investment in both coastal and urban markets.

In 2025, Mexico recorded around 47.8 million international arrivals, generating close to USD 35 billion in foreign exchange revenue. The country is also working to increase arrivals over the coming years, with a focus on strengthening its position as a global travel destination.

Wyndham’s expansion in Mexico has been supported by a mix of segments, including midscale, upper-midscale, soft-brand hotels and all-inclusive resorts. The introduction of the Wyndham Alltra brand in 2021 contributed to the company’s presence in the all-inclusive segment.

The company has also worked with several operating partners to expand its footprint across primary and secondary markets. These include groups such as Alzen, Bel Air, Optima, Grupo Hola, FibraHotel and Fibra Inn, which have supported development across different regions.

Recent multi-hotel partnerships have further extended Wyndham’s reach. Agreements with Grupo MX Hotels have added properties under the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, while collaborations with Decameron All-Inclusive Hotels & Resorts and Viva Resorts by Wyndham have strengthened its presence in the all-inclusive segment. A strategic alliance with Palladium Hotel Group has also added resorts to the Registry Collection Hotels portfolio.

Wyndham attributes its growth in Mexico to a combination of brand presence, distribution systems and technology investments, alongside continued interest from owners and partners in both established and emerging destinations.
