voco Hotels by IHG Opens Largest Americas Property in Times Square

voco hotels, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has opened its largest property in the Americas, voco Times Square – Broadway. The opening further expands voco’s presence in New York City, joining voco Times Square South New York and voco The Franklin New York, and brings the brand’s total footprint in New York State to seven hotels.

The 32-storey hotel features 419 guest rooms and is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, near Times Square. The development follows the opening of voco Astoria earlier this year and is among the last new-build hotel projects approved in this part of the city.

Designed to balance the scale of a large hotel with a more relaxed and individual feel, voco Times Square – Broadway reflects the brand’s approach to providing a consistent yet informal premium stay. The hotel’s interiors draw inspiration from New York City’s Prohibition-era speakeasies, featuring clean architectural lines, layered textures, and contemporary furnishings. The lobby features comfortable seating, warm lighting and details intended to create an inviting atmosphere.

Guest rooms and suites combine vintage-inspired design accents with modern amenities, offering a calm, functional environment suited to both leisure and business travellers.

One of the hotel’s defining features is its rooftop, which offers panoramic views of the New York City skyline. The 2,400-square-foot indoor-outdoor rooftop space is designed to host private events, social gatherings and group functions. The hotel also houses The Velvet Fox, a bar and lounge serving cocktails, small plates and live music.

Located at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street, the hotel offers convenient access to nearby landmarks, including Radio City Music Hall, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Empire State Building.

Ginger Taggart, Vice President, Brand Management – Global Premium Brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the opening reflects voco’s continued growth following the brand’s recent milestone of 100 hotels worldwide. She noted that voco has expanded across several regions over the past year, including new openings in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Globally, voco currently operates 124 hotels, with a further 108 properties in the development pipeline. Recent additions in the United States include openings in Flagstaff, Laguna Hills, Moab, Myrtle Beach and Port St. Lucie, as the brand continues to expand its footprint across key markets.
