Vijaya Kumar Appointed as New GM at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels

APPOINTMENT

GRT Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Vijaya Kumar as the new General Manager of Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels.

Vijaya brings over three decades of experience with expertise in operations, culinary innovation, and sustainable hospitality practices.

He previously served as the Cluster Director of Food & Beverage and led F&B operations across Radisson franchise GRT hotels.

He has been a part of GRT Hotels and Resorts since 17 years, having served in various capacities across multiple properties. Over the years, he has worked with leading brands including Taj, ITC, and SRM Hotels.

Mr. Kumar has received multiple accolades, including the IFCA Smart Chef Award (2017), Green Hotelier of the Year, and medals at SICA Culinary Competitions.

Vijaya Kumar holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM Chennai, along with multiple postgraduate degrees including an MBA in Human Resources, MA in Public Administration, and Masters in Tourism Management.
