The Ritz-Carlton Opens New Hotel in Wuhan, Marking Brand Entry into Central China
New Property Brings Luxury Hospitality Offering to Wuhan’s Financial District
The Ritz-Carlton has announced the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Wuhan, marking the brand’s entry into central China. The hotel is located within the Yuexiu Global Financial Centre and forms part of Wuhan’s integrated commercial and retail district.
Positioned at the confluence of the Yangtze and Han rivers, the property offers views across the city and its waterways. Wuhan, historically known as a transport hub and cultural centre, continues to develop as a major destination for finance, commerce and tourism.
Location and Design Inspired by Local Culture
Situated in Hankou, the hotel provides access to key attractions including Jianghan Road, Yellow Crane Tower and East Lake Scenic Area, all within a short drive.
The property has been designed by KCA International and Cheng Chung Design, with interiors reflecting Wuhan’s river landscapes and Chu cultural heritage. Design elements include flowing lines, layered textures and lighting intended to create a sense of continuity throughout the space.
Guestrooms and Club Experience
The hotel features 204 guestrooms and suites located on the 48th floor and above, offering views of the skyline or the surrounding rivers. Interiors incorporate subtle cultural references, including decorative elements inspired by seasonal landscapes and traditional craftsmanship.
Guests staying in Club Level rooms and suites have access to The Ritz-Carlton Club on the 56th floor, which includes dedicated concierge services and scheduled culinary presentations throughout the day.
Dining and Social Spaces
Dining options at the hotel include four venues. Brasserie 46 offers all-day dining with international cuisine, while The Lobby Lounge provides a setting for light meals and beverages. Chu Yao Xuan focuses on Cantonese cuisine, and FLAIR serves as a rooftop bar overlooking the city.
Wellness and Event Facilities
The hotel’s wellness facilities include a spa with treatment rooms offering therapies influenced by regional traditions, a fitness centre, and an indoor swimming pool.
Event spaces span more than 1,300 square metres, including a grand ballroom and additional function areas designed for meetings and social gatherings.
Expanding Presence in China

According to Marriott International representatives, the opening reflects the brand’s continued development in China, with a focus on expanding into key regional markets.
The Ritz-Carlton, Wuhan adds to the city’s hospitality landscape, combining location, design, and services for both business and leisure travellers.
