The Postcard Hotel Opens Ayurveda-Focused Wellness Retreat in Old Goa
The Postcard Hotel has announced the opening of The Postcard Ayurveda Retreat, Old Goa, a wellness-led property developed in collaboration with Sitaram Ayurveda. Located within a heritage-rich area of Old Goa and surrounded by reserve forest land, the retreat is positioned as a dedicated space for Ayurvedic medical wellness.

The property is designed as a private, small-scale retreat with six rooms, focusing on extended, structured wellness stays. Programs are offered as all-inclusive packages with a minimum stay of seven nights, centred on personalised Ayurvedic treatments rather than leisure-led experiences. Each guest begins their stay with a detailed consultation conducted by resident Ayurvedic physicians, followed by a program tailored to individual health needs and body constitution.

Set amid forested surroundings, the retreat places emphasis on quiet and seclusion. A long-standing banyan tree forms a focal point of the estate, while guest rooms feature private balconies overlooking gardens and the surrounding landscape. The design prioritises natural light, open air, and minimal visual distraction to support a calm environment.
Wellness programs range from 7 to 21 nights and include daily consultations, prescribed Ayurvedic therapies, yoga sessions, and guided routines aligned with traditional practices. Treatments may involve massages, cleansing therapies, meditation, and restorative sessions, scheduled to support gradual and sustained wellness outcomes.
Dining forms an integral part of the retreat experience, with meals planned in consultation with physicians and aligned to Ayurvedic dietary principles. Menus are based on seasonal produce and are served at set times of the day, with dining spaces opening towards views of the Mandovi River.
Indicative pricing for the all-inclusive programs begins at INR 3,40,000 for single occupancy and INR 4,50,000 for double occupancy for a seven-night stay, inclusive of accommodation, meals, treatments, consultations, airport transfers, and applicable taxes. Longer programmes of 14 or 21 nights are also available for guests seeking extended recovery or preventative wellness support.
The retreat is positioned to cater both to guests undergoing specific treatments and to those seeking structured Ayurvedic programmes aimed at improving long-term health, balance, and immunity.

“With The Postcard Ayurveda Retreat, we have created a pioneering wellness sanctuary in India that offers a comprehensive experience to address unique lifestyle needs and concerns of each guest. The stays here start from minimum 7 nights and are all-inclusive healing journeys focused on providing highly personalised programmes for medical wellness, rather than a recreational leisure escape. In essence, the retreat seamlessly combines transformative experiential luxury with authentic Ayurveda for deep restoration,” says Kapil Chopra, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, The Postcard Hotel.
“In an industry-first collaboration with Sitaram, our intimate retreat supports long-term health, balance and wellbeing by integrating their century-old healing legacy of Ayurveda – with the calm of nature, thoughtful design, nourishing cuisine, and perceptive service offered by The Postcard Hotel,” adds Chopra.
Dr. Vignesh Devraj, MD (Ay), Founder and Chief Physician, Sitaram Retreats, adds, “The Postcard Ayurveda Retreat represents a meaningful convergence of place, purpose, and healing. At its core, Ayurveda is about restoring balance and tapping into the body’s innate potential to heal. Our retreat harmonises these ancient principles with guided consultations, medical insights and personalised care at every step of the tailored wellness programmes. We offer guests a holistic path to recovery and renewal in the privacy of their own space, as they reconnect with themselves and cultivate a path to better health and balance.”
