Six Senses Opens AMAALA Resort

Six Senses AMAALA Welcomes Guests on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Coast

Six Senses has opened Six Senses AMAALA, its second property in Saudi Arabia, following the launch of Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea. Located along the Red Sea coast, the new resort is set between desert landscapes, beaches and a mangrove lagoon within the AMAALA destination.

Designed around wellness, sustainability and local culture, the resort offers guests access to nature while supporting AMAALA’s vision for responsible tourism.

Accommodation

The resort features:

  • 100 suites and villas
  • 25 branded residences

Inspired by traditional Saudi coastal architecture, the accommodation has been designed for couples, families and groups, blending contemporary comfort with local design influences.

Wellness Experiences

Wellbeing is central to the guest experience, with facilities including:

  • Six Senses Spa
  • Longevity Centre
  • Outdoor Watsu pool
  • Sound dome
  • Biohacking Recovery Lounge
  • Indoor and outdoor wellness spaces
  • Yoga and fitness programmes

The resort also follows the Eat With Six Senses philosophy, offering menus focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Dining

Guests can choose from several dining venues, including:

  • Soraya, serving Japanese and Latin American-inspired cuisine
  • Joud, offering Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes
  • Beach Shack, featuring seafood, grilled specialities and casual dining

Additional experiences include a coffee roastery, an artisan bakery, and a cooking school that highlight regional flavours.

Sustainability and Nature

The resort forms part of a destination powered entirely by renewable energy and has been designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.

The resort sits beside a mangrove lagoon that supports local marine ecosystems. Guests can also take part in environmental activities through the Earth Lab and the Junior Mangrove Ecologist programme, while snorkelling, diving and desert excursions offer opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape.

Located approximately 45 minutes from AlWajh International Airport and accessible via Red Sea International Airport, the resort expands the brand’s presence in the Kingdom and adds another destination to its regional portfolio.
