City Express Hotel Launch Marks Marriott’s Entry into Canada

City Express by Marriott has opened City Express by Marriott Port Hope, marking the brand’s entry into the Canadian market.

Located along Highway 401, the hotel provides convenient access to destinations across Ontario, including Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Prince Edward County, the Kawarthas and the Niagara Region. The property is designed to serve both business and leisure travellers, as well as those making stopovers during longer journeys.

91-Room Hotel Opens in Port Hope

The hotel features 91 guest rooms and offers a range of amenities, including complimentary breakfast, high-speed Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, a self-service coffee station and The Market Place, which provides snacks, beverages and everyday essentials throughout the day.

Paul Cahill, Chief Operations Officer, Canada, Marriott International, said the opening represents the next step in expanding the City Express by Marriott brand into Canada and offering travellers another accommodation option within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.

Convenient Location in Ontario

Situated in Port Hope, the hotel provides access to the town’s historic district, the Capitol Theatre, the Ganaraska River, Cobourg Beach and attractions across Northumberland County.

City Express by Marriott said the property has been designed to offer a straightforward stay experience, combining practical amenities with convenient access for travellers visiting the region.
