Summit Hotels & Resorts Upgrades Summit by the Ganges Beach Resort & Spa in Rishikesh

Summit Hotels & Resorts has completed an upgrade at Summit by the Ganges Beach Resort & Spa in Shivpuri, part of the wider Rishikesh hospitality corridor in Uttarakhand. The renovation is intended to strengthen the resort’s offering within the region’s riverfront hospitality market.

Located along the banks of the Ganges River, the resort includes direct access to a private white-sand beach—an uncommon feature among hotels in the upper Rishikesh area. The property’s riverfront setting, combined with mountain views and Ganges-facing rooms, places it among a limited group of resorts with direct river access in the region.

Renovation Enhances Rooms and Event Facilities

As part of the upgrade, one of the resort’s accommodation wings has been fully refurbished. The work includes redesigned interiors, upgraded bathrooms, new woodwork, and improved lighting. Some rooms have also been updated to include bathtubs.

The property serves a mix of travellers, including leisure visitors, families, corporate groups, and destination wedding guests. This year, the resort has hosted around 35 weddings, typically accommodating 150-200 guests each.

According to Sumit Mitruka, Founder and CEO of Summit Hotels & Resorts, Rishikesh continues to attract a range of travellers, including spiritual tourists, adventure travellers, leisure travellers, and social celebrators. He noted that the company’s focus is to align property upgrades with the natural advantages of its riverfront location while maintaining relevance for different traveller segments.

With the latest renovation, Summit Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its presence in the hospitality market across Uttarakhand.
