SIX & SIX Introduces ‘With Care, Always’ CSR Platform in Maldives
SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS, in collaboration with Master Dental Care Maldives, has launched its first community initiative in Guraidhoo, introducing its CSR and sustainability platform titled WITH CARE, ALWAYS.

SIX & SIX Begins Community Engagement Programme Focused on Children’s Wellbeing
The initiative, led by the team at RAH GILI MALDIVES, focused on dental awareness for children and families under the theme A Culture of Care. A World of Smiles. The programme engaged 42 children aged between five and ten, along with their parents.
Developed in collaboration with K. Guraidhoo Council and K. Guraidhoo School, the initiative was supported by volunteers from the resort and members of the local community. According to Ahmed Mujthaba, the programme helped raise awareness within both the school and the wider community while encouraging early adoption of healthy habits among children.
The session included interactive activities, dental awareness games, and discussions aimed at making oral health education accessible and engaging. A “Brush Right Challenge” introduced proper brushing techniques, while a dedicated question-and-answer session encouraged parental involvement in maintaining oral health practices at home.

A key component of the initiative was the dental screening conducted for all participating children by the team from Master Dental Care Maldives. Led by Ahmed Saleem, the team carried out screenings to identify potential oral health concerns and recommend further care where required.
“This kind of initiative creates real awareness within both the school and the wider community,” said Ahmed Mujthaba, Principal of K. Guraidhoo School. “It helps children build these habits early, while also giving parents the confidence to support them at home.”
“It is a pleasure for us to be part of this initiative alongside RAH GILI MALDIVES, the Guraidhoo Council and the school community,” said Dr Ahmed Saleem. “Programmes like this create meaningful opportunities to engage both children and parents in understanding oral health, while also allowing us to identify areas where further care may be needed and guide families accordingly.
The programme is aligned with the brand’s Rayyithun philosophy, particularly the principle of Return with Generosity, which reflects a long-standing cultural practice in the Maldives centred on mutual care and community support.

“This is where our philosophy begins to take form,” said Laith Pharaon, Co-Founder and CEO of SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS. “Not in statements, but in consistent, meaningful actions within the communities around us.”

“For us, this is where commitment becomes practice,” said Marc Gussing, Senior Vice President of Operations at SIX & SIX PRIVATE ISLANDS. “WITH CARE, ALWAYS will continue through consistent engagement — working alongside communities, supporting access where needed, and ensuring that each initiative is both relevant and sustained.”

Adding a cultural dimension to the initiative, children were introduced to a reimagined version of Santhi, the Maldivian tooth fairy, presented as a symbol of encouragement and care. Each participant received a “Santhi Promise Card,” designed to promote daily oral hygiene habits in a simple and engaging way.
Inspired by the role of the Katheeb, or island chief, the platform is designed as a broader framework encompassing community wellbeing, environmental responsibility, and cultural continuity. Future initiatives are expected to extend across different community groups, including youth, women, and the elderly.
With RAH GILI MALDIVES now operational, the initiative marks the first step in the brand’s long-term community engagement strategy. As the company prepares for the opening of DON MAAGA MALDIVES later this year, the platform is expected to expand across multiple islands, maintaining a consistent focus on community and sustainability.
