SWISS Takes Delivery of Second Airbus A350-900
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has received its second Airbus A350-900 in Zurich. Registered as HB-IFB and named Delémont, this aircraft is the first in the fleet to display the airline’s standard SWISS livery. Unlike the first A350, HB-IFA, which had the special Wanderlust livery, HB-IFB is painted in the regular livery. It is set to begin commercial service on 23 February, operating flights between Zurich and Montreal.

Commenting on the fleet expansion, SWISS Chief Operating Officer Oliver Buchhofer said that the initial A350-900 has performed consistently since entering service. He added that additional deliveries will allow more customers to experience the airline’s new SWISS Senses cabin concept, with eight more A350 aircraft expected to join the fleet in the coming years as part of the airline’s long-haul renewal programme.

With the addition of HB-IFB, SWISS now has two Airbus A350s in operation. From the start of the 2026 summer schedule, the aircraft type will also be deployed on services between Zurich and Boston and Zurich and Seoul. Further A350 deliveries are planned throughout the year.

As SWISS continues to expand its Airbus A350 fleet, the airline is progressing with the renewal of its long-haul aircraft. In parallel, SWISS plans to begin a refurbishment programme for its Airbus A330 fleet this year, introducing the SWISS Senses cabin across additional aircraft types.
