Rann Utsav Returns to Dhordo with Tent City Experience
Rann Utsav – The Tent City will return to Dhordo, Gujarat, from 1 November 2026 to 7 March 2027, welcoming visitors for another season of cultural experiences, local heritage and desert hospitality.
Operated by Evoke Experiences in partnership with Gujarat Tourism, the Tent City is located around three hours from Bhuj and offers travellers an opportunity to experience the White Rann, local cuisine, handicrafts and the traditions of Kutch.
The 2026–27 season will feature tented accommodation, regional dining, wellness and adventure activities, guided excursions and stargazing under the desert sky. Guests can also enjoy cultural performances by the Siddi community, along with folk music and dance accompanied by traditional instruments such as the Jodiya Pava, Santar, Manjira, Harmonium, Ghado-Gamelo, Dholak and Morchhang.
The on-site Haat will showcase handcrafted products from artisans across Kutch, including Ajrakh textiles, Bandhani sarees, embroidery, mirror work, traditional jewellery and Lippan art, giving visitors an opportunity to explore the region’s craft traditions.
Travellers can also extend their visit to Dholavira, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the ancient Harappan city. The route includes the well-known Road to Heaven, a 30-kilometre highway passing through the Great Rann of Kutch.
To support the upcoming season, Evoke Experiences will introduce 35 seasonal tents adjacent to Evoke Dholavira, providing an additional accommodation option for visitors exploring Dholavira and Khadir Bet.
Bookings for the 2026–27 season will begin with the Rann Sale, running from 31 July to 2 August 2026, offering a flat 25% discount, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
