Raffles Courchevel to Open in the French Alps in 2028

Raffles Resort in Courchevel to Bring a New Alpine Stay Experience
Raffles Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor, has announced plans to open its first alpine resort in Courchevel 1850 in the French Alps. Developed in partnership with Art de Vivre, the property is scheduled to welcome guests during the 2028 winter season.
The upcoming resort will be located in the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850 and is expected to offer a private slopeside experience with views across the Tarentaise Valley.

Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said the opening marks the brand’s entry into alpine hospitality and its second property in France after Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris. He added that Courchevel aligns with the brand’s focus on expanding into established resort destinations.
Known for skiing, dining, luxury retail, and winter tourism, Courchevel 1850 forms part of Les Trois Vallées, one of the world’s largest interconnected ski regions.
Designed by JMV, with interiors by Humbert & Poyet, Raffles Courchevel will feature 50 guestrooms and suites. Several rooms will include private balconies overlooking the mountains.
The resort will include multiple dining venues, including two restaurants, a bar, a tea lounge, winter gardens, and outdoor terraces. Wellness facilities are set to include treatment rooms, thermal experiences, a fitness centre, recovery areas, and a swimming pool. The hotel will also introduce activities and experiences designed for younger guests.
Jonathan Lau, Co-Founder and CEO of Art de Vivre, said the project aims to contribute to Courchevel’s hospitality landscape while respecting the destination’s long-standing mountain traditions.
Raffles Courchevel Alpine Resort will be the sixth property of the brand in Europe, joining Raffles London at The OWO, Raffles Europejski Warsaw, and Raffles Istanbul, among others. Raffles Lake Como is also scheduled to open in 2027.
