Madinah Welcomes Two New Radisson Hotels

In a groundbreaking step to enhance Madinah’s hospitality scene, Radisson Hotel Group has unveiled its partnership with Knowledge Economic City (KEC), a leading Master Developer in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration will bring two new Park Inn by Radisson hotels to the city’s centre. Located in the Islamic World District (IWD) within KEC, these hotels will collectively offer 733 accommodations: 587 hotel rooms and 146 serviced apartments.

This initiative showcases the Radisson Hotel Group and Knowledge Economic City’s commitment to achieving the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for the tourism industry. It highlights the efforts of both companies to expand and enhance the hospitality infrastructure in Madinah, a city rich in spiritual and cultural significance. The opening of two Park Inn by Radisson properties at IWD, KEC, supports the Kingdom’s strategic objectives to diversify its economy and attract international visitors. This reinforces Madinah’s position as a premier destination for travellers worldwide.

Radisson Hotel Group is partnering with Knowledge Economic City, a leading master developer in the Kingdom, to help achieve KEC’s vision of providing approximately 10,000 hotel rooms nationwide. This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing Madinah’s role in the travel and tourism sector, increasing its appeal as a crucial destination in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

Introducing these upcoming properties is a pivotal step in our mission to grow technology and knowledge-driven developments in Madinah and deliver unparalleled hospitality experiences to residents and visitors across all sectors.”

Alongside the two holiest cities in Islam, Madinah is viewed as the foremost centre of Islamic culture and civilization. In addition to pilgrimage visits for Ziyarah, tourists visit key mosques and landmarks of substantial religious importance, including Mount Uhud, Al-Baqi cemetery, and the Seven Mosques. The Radisson Hotel Group manages and develops nearly 50 hotels in Saudi Arabia and aims to increase this number to 100 by 2030.
