Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan, a beachfront resort scheduled to open in 2028. The signing supports the group’s continued expansion in the Philippines and aligns with its broader Asia Pacific growth strategy.

With this addition, Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in the Philippines will comprise seven operating hotels and 18 properties under development.

Commenting on the partnership, Richard Mercado, President of Cebu Rich Realty and Development Corporation, said the collaboration reflects a shared focus on high-quality hospitality development and aims to drive employment generation, community engagement, and tourism growth in Cebu and the wider Philippines. He also noted that the project marks the first Radisson RED Resort in Southeast Asia.

Ramzy Fenianos, Chief Development Officer, APAC, Radisson Hotel Group, said Cebu remains an important market within the group’s regional strategy, offering opportunities across both urban and resort destinations. He added that the Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan is designed to appeal to leisure travellers and groups seeking a lifestyle-oriented hospitality experience.

Located on Mactan Island, a key industrial and tourism hub outside Metro Manila, the resort will benefit from a prominent, accessible location. The site is approximately 10 kilometres from Mactan-Cebu International Airport and around 200 metres from the M.L. Quezon National Highway, providing connectivity for domestic and international visitors.

Upon opening, the resort will feature 141 rooms, including five suites, one Presidential Suite, and two villas. Most accommodations are planned to offer sea-facing views. Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop bar and pool, meeting and event spaces, and fitness and leisure amenities, in line with Radisson RED’s design-led, social brand positioning.

Guests will also have access to nearby attractions, such as Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary, known for birdwatching, and to popular island-hopping destinations, including Nalusuan, Pandanon, Cohagan, and Hilutungan Islands. The Mactan Shrine, commemorating the Battle of Mactan, is also located nearby.

Radisson RED is Radisson Hotel Group’s upscale lifestyle brand, focused on contemporary design, social spaces, and a relaxed hospitality approach tailored to modern travellers.
