Minor Hotels has announced the reopening of NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort, following a six-month renovation that has transformed the island retreat while retaining its natural charm.

Formerly known as Reethi Beach Resort, the property has been redesigned to reflect the brand’s signature style, blending Maldivian tradition with contemporary comforts.

Located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, the resort is a 35-minute seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport and offers proximity to Hanifaru Bay, a world-renowned site for manta rays, whale sharks, and turtles.

Villas and Accommodation

The resort features 105 villas, both beachside and overwater, designed to harmonize with the island’s lush landscape and lagoon setting. Sixteen newly introduced pool villas provide private plunge pools, while overwater villas on the north side of the island offer panoramic views from private decks.

Dining and Culinary Experiences

NH Collection Maldives Reethi presents seven dining outlets, each with a distinct identity. Highlights include:

  • Alifaan – beachfront grill featuring wood-fired cooking

  • Kaiyo – overwater restaurant with Asian-inspired menus

  • Jumla – global all-day dining venue

  • Madumaithri – poolside bar at the new infinity pool

  • Aqua Bar – casual, family-friendly fare

  • Atardecer – sunset beach bar with tapas and live entertainment

  • Handhuvaru – a rum bar set within the island’s natural landscape

Guests can also enjoy private dining experiences, from wine cellar fine dining to Adrift, a bespoke al fresco setting.

Experiences and Activities

The island’s house reef offers snorkelling opportunities, while excursions to Hanifaru Bay provide encounters with mantas and whale sharks. Active travellers can choose from a wide range of water sports, including jet skiing, wakeboarding, flyboarding, and kayaking. On land, the resort features tennis, badminton, volleyball, and pickleball courts, as well as a fitness centre, Kids’ Club, and games room.

Wellness and Relaxation

The REVIVE spa has been reimagined as a space for holistic wellness, drawing inspiration from nature to offer treatments and relaxation experiences. Guests may also enjoy the beachfront infinity pool or unwind along the island’s beaches.
