New General Manager at Sheraton Grand Doha

The Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel has appointed Peter Katusak-Huzsvar as its new General Manager, effective immediately. An industry veteran with over thirty years of experience in luxury hospitality, Peter Katusak-Huzsvar brings expertise, innovative ideas, and inspiring leadership to one of Doha’s most iconic hotels.

The Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is a landmark in the city’s skyline. Known for its pyramid architecture and prime location along the Arabian Gulf, the hotel combines Qatari heritage with sophistication. Featuring 371 rooms and suites, dining options, and a convention centre, the Sheraton Grand Doha remains the preferred choice for both business and leisure travellers seeking an unparalleled and refined experience.

For Peter Katusak-Huzsvar, returning to Doha is a meaningful homecoming. He served as the opening Hotel Manager of W Doha in 2008 and as a Task Force General Manager at Sheraton Grand Doha in 2015, making him well-acquainted with the dynamic Doha market. His familiarity with the city and understanding of its unique landscape position him as the ideal leader to enhance the Sheraton Grand’s storied heritage.

Throughout his career, Peter Katusak-Huzsvar has held key positions in hotels across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His experience includes notable locations such as The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah, W Dubai – The Palm, SO/Vienna, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City, W Guangzhou, and W St. Petersburg, where he has transformed these establishments into iconic city landmarks. 

His pre-openings, rebranding, and repositioning expertise have set new industry standards. Peter has successfully revamped SO/Vienna and elevated Michelin-starred venues like Das Loft and Mix by Alain Ducasse. His visionary approach has redefined luxury hospitality and highlights his dedication to curating exceptional experiences.
