Lemon Tree Hotels Expands Portfolio in Himachal Pradesh with Signing of 10th Property
Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a new hotel in Barog, marking the company’s 10th property in Himachal Pradesh and further strengthening its presence in the region.

With four operational hotels already in the state and six additional properties under development, including this latest signing, the company continues to expand its portfolio in one of India’s key leisure travel markets. The upcoming property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.
Nestled in the hills of Himachal Pradesh, Barog is a scenic town known for its verdant landscapes, colonial-era charm and peaceful surroundings. Situated along the historic Kalka–Shimla route, the destination has gradually gained popularity among leisure travellers seeking quiet getaways and experiential stays within driving distance of major cities in North India.
The upcoming Lemon Tree Hotel Barog will feature 49 rooms along with a range of guest facilities, including a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting room, spa, swimming pool and fitness centre. The property is expected to cater to leisure travellers as well as destination events and small corporate gatherings.
The signing forms part of Lemon Tree Hotels’ broader expansion strategy across key leisure destinations, particularly in hill states where demand for resort-style stays and weekend travel experiences continues to grow.
Neelendra Singh, Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, said, “Himachal Pradesh continues to be a strong leisure market with growing demand for branded hospitality in scenic destinations. Barog’s proximity to Chandigarh and its appeal as a peaceful hill retreat makes it an attractive addition to our portfolio. This signing aligns with our strategy of expanding thoughtfully into emerging leisure micro-markets while delivering comfortable and quality experiences.”
