KLM Reaches Provisional Agreement with Ground Staff Unions
KLM has reached a provisional collective labour agreement with trade unions NVLT, VKP, and De Unie, which represent more than half of organized ground employees. KLM has also invited FNV and CNV to participate in the agreement.
The agreement runs until 31 December 2026 and includes:
A wage increase of 1% from 1 October 2025 and 1.25% from 1 July 2026
A one-time payment of €750 (full-time basis)
An improved profit-sharing scheme aligned with all employees
A structural 80-90-100 scheme, allowing employees to work 80% at 90% salary with full pension accrual, extended for shift workers
A structural Early Retirement Scheme (RVU) for strenuous roles from 2026, in line with national agreements
An addendum for technicians and updates to the social plan
Agreements on productivity and the use of flexible workers
The unions will present the deal to their members for approval in the coming weeks.
